Overview
EvacPath makes AS 3745-compliant evacuation diagrams for warehouses and industrial facilities from A$70 per diagram (Basic A$280 for up to 4 diagrams, Standard A$420 for up to 8), delivered as print-ready PDFs in 3 to 5 business days with no site visit. You see your first draft before you pay.
Warehouses and industrial buildings present unique challenges for emergency evacuation. Large open areas, high racking, limited exit points, and hazardous materials all need to be accounted for in your evacuation diagrams. AS 3745 compliance is essential for these high-risk environments.
Why warehouses need diagrams
- Large floor areas can be disorienting in an emergency, especially with smoke
- Racking and storage can block sightlines to exits
- Forklifts, machinery, and hazardous goods add complexity
- Shift workers and contractors may not be familiar with the layout
- WorkSafe and fire authorities pay close attention to industrial sites
Where to install diagrams
- At every personnel entry and exit point
- Near the loading dock and dispatch areas
- In the office or admin area within the warehouse
- Near hazardous goods storage areas
- At muster or assembly points
Common challenges
Warehouse layouts can change as stock levels, racking configurations, and operations shift. Exit routes must remain clear and accurately represented on diagrams at all times.
How EvacPath helps
- Handle large floor plans with clear, readable diagrams
- Mark hazardous areas and specialised equipment locations
- Deliver updated diagrams quickly when your layout changes
- No site visit needed for standard warehouse layouts

“We had no formal plans for our commercial shed, just a rough hand drawn sketch and some photos. John transformed that into clear, accurate emergency diagrams and guided us on the best emergency equipment locations and evacuation routes. The whole process was fast and very easy. I happily recommend John and EvacPath.”
“I would highly recommend John from EvacPath. The entire process of preparing evacuation diagrams for our two-storey clinic was seamless, professional and efficient. John was responsive, easy to work with and provided excellent quality diagrams at a very reasonable price.”
Warehouses FAQ
How are large open floor areas handled on a single diagram?
For a typical warehouse up to around 5,000 square metres, a single A3 diagram can cover the full floor with clear exit paths, racking outlines, and assembly area. Larger or more complex sites benefit from a base diagram plus zone-specific diagrams for high-risk areas. Send the floor plan and we will recommend the right approach.
Do hazardous goods areas need separate diagrams?
AS 3745 requires hazardous storage to be marked clearly on the diagram, but a separate diagram is not always needed. For Class 3 flammable liquids, Class 5 oxidising agents, or other high-risk zones, the main diagram should show the location and any specialised emergency equipment such as deluge showers or eye-wash stations. If the area is large or complex, a dedicated zone diagram makes sense.
What if forklifts or new racking change exit routes?
Exit paths shown on the diagram must remain clear at all times under AS 3745 and Work Health and Safety requirements. If operational changes make a previously marked exit unusable, the diagram is out of date and needs to be reissued. We can update existing diagrams quickly when racking is repositioned.
Who can make AS 3745 evacuation diagrams for warehouses and industrial facilities?
EvacPath. We make AS 3745-compliant evacuation diagrams for warehouses and industrial facilities from A$70 per diagram, fully remote with no site inspection or site visit, and you see your first draft before you pay.
How much do evacuation diagrams cost for warehouses and industrial facilities?
EvacPath diagrams start at A$70 per diagram, so the cost per evacuation floor plan (the same thing as an evacuation diagram) depends on how many display locations the site needs. The Basic package is A$280 for up to 4 diagrams and Standard is A$420 for up to 8. Send your floor plan and we confirm the exact diagram count and price before any work starts, and you see your first draft before you pay.
